The story

Will you watch another documentary about Jack the Ripper, nod along at the reenactments, and decide the case is basically closed? No. That’s not what you are going to do.

Well you could do that. Or you could get a phone call at 6:12 in the morning from someone who just woke up in Whitechapel, 1888, standing exactly where Mary Ann Nichols was found, asking you what she does next.

The Jack the Ripper Quest turns the most famous unsolved murder in history into a real-time investigation you run from wherever you are. No flights, no walking tour, no app. Kim, our founder, went digging into the Ripper case and somehow ended up standing in it. You’re the one on the outside who still has a signal back to 2026.

This isn’t Kim reading you a Wikipedia page. It’s a story, fully voiced. She calls, she describes exactly where she is, and the case starts talking back through her: constables, a mortuary attendant who does not want her there, journalists selling the story before it’s finished, the women of Whitechapel, and the aristocrats who’d very much like this to be someone else’s fault.

Why does it matter? Because you’re not reading the Ripper case after the fact, you’re inside it while it’s still happening, deciding in real time who Kim trusts, what she risks, and which of six competing theories about who he actually was gets to be the one you believe. Send her to the mortuary or the police station and you lock the other one forever. Pick a suspect theory at Miller’s Court and the other five close, permanently. There is no undo, and there is no second Kim.

By the end, everything you decided has been quietly building toward one moment: Secrets Hall, 2026, where you submit your verdict. Not a guess. Your best reconstruction of what actually happened, built from everything Kim gathered while she was trapped inside it. Get it wrong, and Mr. Sterces has some thoughts about what happens to a mind that never gets its verdict.

Your guides through the chaos are Kim (uh, me, currently stuck in the nineteenth century) and Mr. Sterces, a posh digital butler back in 2026 who starts out mostly annoyed and ends the case genuinely, if he’d never admit it, terrified for her.

What’s inside:

  • Five real Whitechapel murder sites, each a full audio-voiced dialogue scene, not just text
  • Twenty possible stops in total. You’ll only ever walk through eleven of them in one playthrough, because every branch locks the other for good
  • Six rival suspect theories, from a vampire cult to the Royal Family to more than one killer, and you only ever get to unlock one
  • A real ending: your verdict at Secrets Hall decides whether Kim finds her way back to 2026 at all
  • A cast of Victorian London: victims, constables, journalists, aristocrats, and the killer himself, all voiced
  • Real witness statements, real letters, real Ripperology behind every scene, no tabloid myths passed off as fact
  • Achievements for the theory you back and the choices you make along the way
  • Works straight from your phone. Kim’s the one stuck in 1888, not you
  • Yours forever. Replay it to hear the five theories you didn’t choose

Built for the person who’s already read every “top suspects” listicle and still isn’t satisfied. If you’d rather cross-examine Victorian London yourself than watch one more documentary summarize it for you, this is your case.

Warning: contains real witness statements, three copycat letters nobody can verify, one attempted five-pound wire transfer into 1888 that Mr. Sterces still won’t let go of, and a killer who was never caught. Not in this quest. Not ever.
